Social Sins
This week the Vatican has come up with a new list. Their list is of sins that are venial (not mortal) . In the catholic church that means you can still be forgiven for these. They aren't like murdering someone. So I thought I would repost this list just in case you didn't get to take a look at it. I actually think this is a fairly progressive thing the Catholic Church is doing. Keep these in mind! Are you doing anything on the Vatican's list of

1) Creating Poverty
2) Excessive Wealth
3) Pollution/ Environmental Damage
4) Drug Abuse
5) Bioethical violations (ie birth control)
6) Contributing to widening the gap between rich and poor
7) Genetic Manipulations/ Experiments

Hmmm... I guess just number 5. I wish I could commit number 2. That'd be sweet.

1, 2, and 3 are all the same thing. I think the Vatican needs an editor!

Well, count me in for 5. But it's a catch 22. If I don't do 5 (birth control) then I run the risk of #7 (genetic manipulations)...
MFX- I think you can do #1 and not do #6 or #2 and not #6. I think it is hard to do #1 by itself or #2, Now I sound like I am talking about a high school math logic problem that involves a toilet.
