All These Questions

I know, it has been a while since my last post. I have been in and out of town. If you didn't know, I am a VERY important and busy person! I have pondered the last few days what should be the topic of my return post. Then it hit me . . .I am always mulling over questions so here is my list of

2) What should I be for Halloween?

Costco Ho

"Hello my name is Listy-loo and I am a Costco fanatic."

Wow. That felt really good to say. Admitting you have a problem is the first step. Right? It is true, I love me some Costco. The bulk factor makes me feel like I am really getting one over them . Who "them" would be I have no idea. So I like to go there on a regular basis. I recently went there when I needed to do some regular grocery shopping. HUGE MISTAKE!!!! I bought thinngs that I didn't need in large quantities. Some things like frzen food and paper towels work in bulk. Here is my list of

Items You Should Never Buy In Bulk

1) Blue Cheese- I really like blue cheese but having to consume 1 1/2 lbs of it before it went bad was just too much.

2) Ketchup- I actually eat A LOT of ketchup. However, I do not think that my ketchup consumption justifies the very large jug of the stuff taking up much room in the back of my fridge.

3) Snickers- come on, if you have a box of 36 Snickers in your house aren't you going to eat them all youself? Not such a good idea!

4) Beef- I can't imagine buying 8 lbs of beef unless you have a family of 6 or more!

5) Salad Dressing- it just goes bad before you can use it all. I mean what the hell was I thinking when I bought 1/2 gallon of salad dressing for 2 people.

Sleepy Time Music

As a mom, my kid's bed time has become a very important part of my day. I have to admit to using the lazy parent's best friend to get him to sleep- the Ipod. Yup. Every night we read some books and then plug into dreamland via the best invention of the last few years. Singing Thud to bed takes at least twice as long. Music has always calmed him- ever since we brought him home from the hospital. Now when it comes to music for kids, the choices generally suck. Actually, they suck big time. Jay-Bee and I have found some bands that we listen to that put Thud to sleep PDQ.Now not all of these bands are mellow all the time. You may have to seek out their slow stuff but I promise it is worth the look! Here is my list of

Cool Bands/Musicians That Put Kids To Sleep

1) Nick Drake
2) Iron and Wine
3) Jack Johnson
4) Sufjan Stevens
5) Damien Rice
6) Allison Krauss
7) Elliot Smith
8) Tori Amos (of course!)

Had to get away

I always loved Fall Break at college and so I have decided to take it again as a grown-up. I am headed to the Virginia country side for some obscure but high end arts and crafts festival. Perhaps I will come back with a list. Who knows. Next, Fox Day 2007!
